Theyre taking over and its playing havoc with the security on my computer. Takes ages for page to load etc.

The best thing you can do, is make sure you have Virus protection and its up to date.
Spyware and malware software to protect and remove unwanted rubbish.
A good pop up blocker (google)
Its becoming really bad latly.

You can do other things, like MSCONFIG, and remove unwated stuff from start up, most spyware maleware and rubbish start when you switch the machine on, using msconfig you can manually stop them from starting, be carfull though there are some services that are vital to start with windows,

from the run command type msconfig, a window will open, go to the startup tab, scroll down and have a look at what is in there, dogie stuff normally is easy to identify, unchecjh the box if you do not want it to start when the PC starts.

Then reboot.

I through a chair at the TV when the ads were on, it seemed to do the trick but might need a new tv
